Our dance and performing arts school delivers Dance, Drama, Singing, and Musical Theatre classes at the highest possible standard in Plymouth and Ivybridge. Our exceptional faculty teach with such passion to inspire every student in an encouraging and supportive environment. Founded by Sarah Bayliss and Jodie Nicholls, with over 30 years of experience between them in teaching and performing in the West End and throughout the UK, we are proud of the standard of teaching we are renowned for. We have classes for ages one to adults Plymouth and Ivybridge!
Meet Principals Jodie And Sarah
Sarah Bayliss and Jodie Nicholls are Directors, Founders and Principals of SJ Performing Arts Plymouth and Ivybridge. With over 30 years of experience of performing in the West End and throughout the UK and teaching in Devon, both have a wealth of experience to inspire the next generation.
Our Values
Nurturing our students in a supportive and encouraging environment allows them to thrive. We tailor our classes to promote joy which fills our school with positivity allowing them to grow into strong, independent individuals. Our ethos “every child matters” means we care for every child who walks through our doors. Our training is age-appropriate and fuels creativity allowing our students to find passion in dance and performing arts. Our classes are for students recreationally and also for students hoping to take their training to a professional level.
