Primary and Junior Classes in Ivybridge

GRADED BALLET 

A wonderful way to start or continue your child’s ballet journey. Studying the most prestigious ballet board RAD our dancers are in the safest of hands from the very beginning. Our graded classes 1-2 are a wonderful follow on from our younger classes or a great start for any new ballet dancer. Now introducing new ballet techniques including balancing, spinning, and leaping. Our classes continue to develop musicality, technique, and performance quality. Character work is also included in Grade 1 studying national dances from other countries. Our classes promote joy, helps develop confidence, and most importantly they are fun. Exams are available at this level but they are optional.

• Grade 1 Ballet, Thursdays 5 – 5:45 pm, Ivybridge Community College, £21.50 per month.
• Grade 2 Ballet, Thursdays 5:45 – 6:30 pm, Ivybridge Community College, £21.50 per month.

GRADE 1 AND 2 TAP

Our wonderful tap classes are an exciting start to your child’s tap journey. Following the prestigious ISTD tap board, we give our tap dancers the best start possible. Classes explore the tap syllabi learning steps and exercises that will secure a good understanding of tap. Classes are great fun, allowing students to develop sounds whilst developing; musicality, co-ordination, vocabulary, and rhythm. Our students have the option to enter exams to showcase their work which is a hugely rewarding experience!

• Grade 1 Tap, Saturdays 12:15 – 12:45 pm, Ivybridge Community College, £18 per month.
• Grade 2 Tap Mondays 4 – 4:45 pm, Ivybridge Methodist Church, £21.50 per month.

GRADE 2 & 3 MODERN

Our super Modern classes continue to follow the ISTD syllabus. We have now established the foundations and are placing techniques into practice. Our lessons develop; a secure technique, increased core stability, weight balance, and sufficient lines; whilst continuing to nurture musicality, rhythm, and performance. These classes are highly engaging, stimulating, and expressive. Exams are available at these levels but are optional.

• Grade 2 Modern, Saturdays 12:45 – 1:30 pm, Ivybridge Community College, £21.50 per month.
• Grade 3 Modern Mondays  4:45 – 5:30 pm, Ivybridge Methodist Church, £21.50 per month.
